A guiding principle of Allied Bindery has always been open communication with our customers. Through monthly communications (such as this one!) and our daily contact with you, our goal is to educate as well as keep those lines of communication open. On the flip side, we ask our customers to educate us about their businesses and how they can better interact with ours. The result is always higher quality products and more efficient production processes. This month, we begin utilizing a new communication tool: our online customer feedback form.

What You’ve Told Us and How We’ve Improved
Results of a recent customer survey have shown that Allied Bindery enjoys a customer approval rating of more than 98%. Though our customers are satisfied overall, that doesn’t mean we didn’t learn a few things about ourselves. Since the implementation of our survey, Allied Bindery has implemented 15 process improvements, including:
- A revised quote request form that more accurately collects the information we need to produce your job more effectively.
- Documentation to help us pinpoint areas of concern and how to address them;
- Revised operating and make-ready procedures for several of our high-demand services, which will improve turnarounds and efficiency.
- A “Customer Rules” program that will generate automatic instructions specific to each customer. If everything from Dave’s Printing, for example, must always jog to the foot, this information will be included on all jobs from Dave’s Printing and travel with the product throughout the shop.
